Abstract:
The present bachelorwork is about hyperhidrosis and presents the physiology and the pathophysiology of this disease and deals with the psychological strain of the patients and the topical therapeutic possibilities. In this context the possibility of health hazard by the use of antiperspirant charged with aluminium is discussed and references are pronounced. There are two types of hyperhidrosis: primary and secondary. The second type counts as a symptom and not as an underlying disease. Therapeutic possibilities are principally concerned with the primary form which can be differentiated between hyperhidrosis axillaris, hyperhidrosis manuum et pedum. The therapeutic possibilities are extremely voluminous and range from conservative to operational methods and they can have a local or systemic effect. A combined therapy might be reasonable but a gradual therapy should be considered. As a result of current subtotal studies especially in the range of surgical available therapies it would be desirable that comparable future longitudinal analysis yield a result which can upgrade therapeutic possibilities and help consequently to reach the best for the patient.
