Abstract:: Understanding quality of life has become an increasingly important issue in the treatment and clinical care of patients with gynecological cancer. The short- and long-term side-effects of treatment may also impact on a woman's self worth and sexuality. In our review we address the key issues related to the treatment and management of patients with gynecological cancer. We focus on the methodology issues and limitations in the design of studies and propose our view of how to approach and enhance better quality trials in the future.
