- We report on an appeal of a patient, who was treated on glaucoma conservatively since 1995 and operated on one eye by filtering surgery and cyclophotocoagulation in 2006. Before he was operated on his second eye he looked for a second opinion. He was quite rattled because he was told to have no glaucoma. For an arbitration committee of the Medical Association the following questions should be answered: if there is a glaucoma or not, if the operation was indicated or not and what treatment would have been adequate. In case of liability the periods of pain and possible/probable consequences should be determined.
