- Abstract:
- Photodynamic therapy (PDT) has been found to be effective for the treatment of acne vulgaris. We now wish to present a case series of seven patients who were successfully treated for chronic folliculitis with PDT after photosensitization with topical methyl aminolevulinate. The folliculitis had occurred in areas of acne-prone skin of the patients, mainly after long-term administration of antibiotics.
