Abstract:: Most patients with endometrial carcinoma present with postmenopausal vaginal bleeding and 75% will have stage I disease. The overall 5-year survival rate of patients with endometrial carcinoma is about 75%. Routine screening of women without postmenopausal bleeding, abnormal vaginal discharge or other symptoms does not seem justified. The same applies to patients receiving tamoxifen.
