- Abstract:
- Common reasons for seeing a pediatric orthopedist or manual doctor are torticollis, scoliosis, and spinal pain in childhood. Often causes are functional problems, but sometimes there may be an underlying structural disorder; this is important to remember, and appropriate diagnostics must be initiated upon suspicion. Manual therapy of structural disorders is also possible and can help to compensate for the system and thus support best possible development and alleviate pain. The therapeutic possibilities are presented based on four recent cases.
