- Abstract:
- The autopsy findings of anaphylactic reactions are unspecific. This report presents a fatal case of anaphylaxis involving a 36-year-old woman with a history of bronchial asthma and nut allergy, who died while eating tortellini during lunch. The differential diagnostic problems of the postmortem diagnosis of anaphylaxis, gross pathology and histopathology as well as additional investigations that may help confirm the diagnosis are presented.
