- Abstract:
- In a 7-year-old girl presenting with lower abdominal pain following a fall from a swing, ultrasonography of the spleen showed disseminated echogenic spots in the splenic parenchyma. A toxoplasmosis indirect fluorescent antibody test showed a titer of 1:64, but the child was free of symptoms of toxoplasmosis infection. A repeat ultrasonographic evaluation of the spleen 6 months later showed the calcifications unchanged.
