- Abstract:
- Case Report: A 26-year old patient was referred because of GTD metastasis to the skin, lung and brain. The lesions had progressed during primary CTX with MTX + actinomycin D. Six courses of EMACO (etoposide, methotrexate, actinomycin D, cyclophosphamide, vincristine) and RTX to the brain (40 Gy) were administered. At a follow-up of 49 months, the patient was in complete remission and working at her original job. This suggests that EMACO with radiation to the brain may be effective for selected patients with GTD metastasis to the CNS.
