- Abstract:
- Single-Agent Therapy in Hypertension. Arterial hypertension is one of the main cardiovascular risk factors. Therapeutical concepts include lifestyle management and antihypertensive medication. Treatment can be started both as single-agent or two-drug therapy. Advantages of a single-agent therapy are a slow well tolerable blood pressure reduction and an easy detection of side effects. With an individualized selection of the antihypertensive agent and dosage times, a 24-hour blood pressure reduction can be reached.
