Transdiciplinary and research guided academic teaching in the field of advanced technology based on Micro -CT -- an innovative approach in order to enhance Styrian universities

Abstract

The Project "Triple for Science" is dealing with transdisciplinary, research orientated Teaching in the are of hight technology. Projectpartners are the University of Applied Science, Medical University Graz and the University of Technology Graz -- all Austria. The investment of a shared Micro-CT offers the possibility of high resolution density measurements of objects for quality assurance as well as hybrid objects and medical devices. By combining the expertise from different research areas in image processing, image reconstruction and analysis several goals can be met.
