Development of an EORTC Quality of Life Group Cervical Cancer Module (QLA-CX) Phase III
- Abstract
- The aim of this project is to develop a questionnaire module to assess the health related quality of life (QL) of women with cervical cancer in clinical trials. The module will comprise issues pertaining to symtoms of cervical cancer, treatment related issues and any addtiotional demensions of QL specific to cervical cancer not sufficiently covered by the EORTC QLQ-C30 i.e. menopausal symptoms, body image, sexuality, urinary symptoms.
The module will be administered in combination with the EORTC QLQ-C30 in clinical trials with cervical cancer patients where QL is a relevant outcome parameter. The cervical module will be constructed according to the EORTC guidelines for developing questionnaire modules following four phases:
Phase 1: Generation of QL-issues; Phase 2: Operationalisation; Phase 3: Pre-testing;Phase 4: Field-testing.
