Communicative abilities at the preschool age (ACDI-III, Level III)

Abstract
A delay in early lexical development may point to enduring language problems, dyslexia or learning disabilities. The aim of this project is to develop and validate a screening tool (ACDI-III) to early identify children with communicative disabilities in order to facilitate early intervention programs. Together with the Department of Sinnes- und Sprachneurologie from the KH Barmherzige Brüder Linz this study focuses on the current validity of parental reports of three years old children. It is conducted in different kindergartens in Graz and Linz. These data will additionally contribute to a large norming study on the CDI-level III.
