Expertise

• Linda Waldherr konzentriert sich auf die Entwicklung bioelektronischer Medikamentenabgabesysteme, insbesondere zur Behandlung schwer behandelbarer Tumoren wie Glioblastom, Bauchspeicheldrüsenkrebs und zur Linderung des Kachexie-Syndroms. Ihre Arbeit beinhaltet die Nutzung bioelektronischer Geräte wie Iontronics und biokompatibler Elektroden, um Chemotherapie direkt an diesen Tumoren zu verabreichen, wodurch langanhaltende lokale Therapien möglich sind, und Nebenwirkungen minimiert werden. Waldherrs Fachgebiete umfassen Biochemie, Bioelektronik und Neuroimplantat-Technologie, wobei ihre Forschung darauf abzielt, die Präzision und Wirksamkeit von Krebstherapien zu verbessern..
