Fields of expertise
- I am a researcher specializing in host–microbiome interactions in inflammatory skin diseases, focusing on how skin-resident microbes influence immune responses, inflammation, and disease progression. My work integrates dermatology, immunology, and microbiology to uncover mechanisms by which microbial dysbiosis contributes to conditions such as seborrheic dermatitis and atopic dermatitis, with relevance for microbiome-targeted therapeutic strategies. Additionally, I investigate the effects of lifestyle and environmental factors, including UV exposure and UV phototherapy, on skin inflammation and host–microbiome interactions.
