The progression of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) relies heavily on the overproduction of collagen and alterations in fatty acid (FA) metabolism. We propose that changes in lipid metabolism, driven by the actions of Angiopoietin-like 4 (ANGPTL4), may also have a significant impact on the activity of lung fibroblasts (PDGFRα+ cells), ultimately affecting the progression of lung fibrosis. . 2023; -7TH LUNG DAYS - 7.
