Fields of expertise
- As a specialist in pediatrics and radiology, I am interested in all aspects of pediatric radiology. A special focus of mine is to minimize the invasiveness of radiological examinations in paediatric radiology and therefore I have also dealt extensively with radiation protection and the further development of equipment in hardware and software. Another focus of my interest is digital image processing. In this area, I also worked for many years as a consultant for the medical technology industry - including 3D imaging and virtual reality as well as the adaptation of various image reconstruction techniques to pediatric patients. For my cooperation with the Department of Informatics, University of Szeged / HU I was awarded an honorary doctorate in computer science. Since January 2023 I am retired and working as a pediatric radiologist in non-academic units, lecturer at congresses and courses and freelancer for pediatric radiology and medical informatics.
