Expertise
- Andreas Holzinger forscht und lehrt an der Nahtstelle von Künstlicher Intelligenz (KI) und Machine Learning (ML) und fördert einen synergetischen Ansatz einer Human-centered KI, um menschliche Intelligenz mit maschineller Intelligenz zu unterstützen. Der Schwerpunkt von Andreas Holzinger liegt aktuell auf erklärbarer KI und interpretierbarem maschinellen Lernen, wobei seine Expertise und Pionierarbeit im Bereich des interaktiven maschinellen Lernens (iML) mit einem Human-in-the-Loop und seine Erfahrung im Anwendungsbereich der Medizin sehr hilfreich sind. Ziel von Andreas Holzinger ist es, mit seiner Gruppe originäre Beiträge zur internationalen Forschungsgemeinschaft zu leisten, damit ein menschlicher Experte die zugrundeliegenden Erklärungsfaktoren maschineller Ergebnisse - die Kausalität - verstehen kann. Dies beantwortet die Frage warum eine KI-Entscheidung getroffen wurde und ermöglicht ethisch verantwortliche KI und transparentes, nachvollziehbares maschinelles Lernen. Dies ist hochrelevant für die Medizin aber auch für Wirtschaft und Industrie.
